Brian Odipo

Chief Executive Officer

Brian is the CEO of Vanguard BI, a Google Cloud partner company in Kenya. With over 10 years experience in research and data analytics, he has a wealth of experience at the intersection of technology and people. 

Brian enjoys painting, making music and playing basketball in his free time.

Chief Strategy Officer

Martin is a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, Wellcome Sanger Institute, reading Genomics. He is also the co-founder and CEO of songh.ai.

He is a life-long futurist and a renaissance man, driven by diverse interests towards the advancement of the African continent.

Carringtone Kinyanjui

Chief Scientist

Carringtone is a seasoned teacher and researcher. Committed to fostering local innovation, he also actively drives initiatives in AI and physics education across Kenya.

A final-year PhD student at the University of Manchester and European Research Council scholar, Carringtone uses natural language processing to study the intersection of science diplomacy and data infrastructure. Previously, he served as a Junior Research Fellow at ILINA, where he focused on AI safety and alignment.

Roger D. Odipo

Chief Technology Officer

Roger is a mechatronic, cloud and software engineer, and the CTO of Vanguard BI. With experience with a wide range of technologies, he leads the technical efforts at Haki, with a purview of the right tools for the job. 

When he’s not working, he enjoys playing the guitar and reading just about any book, from Sean M. Carroll’s The Big Picture to Binyavanga Wainaina’s One Day I Will Write About This and Robert’s Sapolsky’s A Primate’s Memoir.
