Managers and professionals in any department
HR, finance, marketing, sales, operations and leadership. No technical background needed. Each video uses examples from Kenya and across Africa.
What you’ll learn
Four modules, two videos each. Watch at your own pace; each video runs 11 to 22 minutes.
Module 1: Understanding AI
Understanding AI and Its Role in Business
How AI learns from data; the main types of machine learning; the neural networks and transformers behind ChatGPT; and three success factors: good data, a well-run model, and decisions people can explain.
Building Your Business AI Strategy
Why adopting AI is about survival, not hype; making AI effective for your organisation; the roles you need; the benefits and the risks, from privacy to decisions no one can explain.
Module 2: Where AI pays off
Using AI to Improve Customer Experience and Operations
AI in marketing, sales and customer service, with examples such as WhatsApp commerce in Kenya and Discovery Bank in South Africa; then predictive maintenance, stock and demand forecasting (Twiga Foods, Amazon, Levi’s).
Using AI in Finance and Human Resources
Turning receipts into records, spotting fraud, reconciling bank and M-Pesa records, and reading cash flow; then recruitment, interviews and staff learning; and where to start in any department.
Module 3: Data and adoption choices
Preparing Your Business Data for AI
What makes data useful, how general models learn your work from a little of your data, Africa’s chance to leapfrog, and handling data ethically.
Adopting AI Through Buying, Partnering, or Building
Three ways to bring AI into your organisation, the trade-offs of each, why most organisations combine them, and AI built for mobile-first Africa.
Module 4: Agents and the future
AI Agents and the Future of Business Automation
From AI that answers to AI that acts: connecting AI to your data and tools, agents working together, and examples such as handling refunds and leave requests.
Preparing Your Business for the Future of AI
What the next few years may bring, how work and jobs will change, why to build skills across several areas, and Africa’s opportunity.
